Galloway Township Police Department and the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s
Office Misc. / Other Related Information: As a result of the investigation by the Galloway Township Police Department with the assistance of the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, D/Sgt. Frank Weir has charged Kevin Washington with the May 4th shooting of Shaylisa Austin of Galloway Township. Washington has been lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $100,000.00 full bail set by Galloway Municipal Judge Howard Freed for the charges of Aggravated Assault, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose, Certain Persons not to possess Weapons, and Tampering with Evidence. The 357 caliber handgun was recovered at the scene.
