On
July 21, 2012 at 9:20am Galloway Township Police received a call in reference
to a female who was bleeding at the Travel Lodge on Rt 30. Officers responded
and located the victim, a 22 year old female from Massachusetts who had been
stabbed multiple times. The victim had 7 stab wounds to her neck, chest and
back. Galloway Ambulance and Atlanticare Medics transported the female to the
Atlanticare Regional Trauma Center. Officers Kevin Jorgensen and Jacqueline
Crocker conducted the initial investigation. After further investigation,
Detective Ryan Goehringer issued an arrest warrant for J. E. “Johnny”
Lozano-Vulgarin age 24 of Brooklyn, NY. Lozano-Vulgarin was charged with
Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Unlawful Possession of a Weapon and
Possession of a Weapon for an Unlawful Purpose. Witnesses report that Lozano-Vulgarin
fled the scene prior to police arrival. He is reportedly driving a silver
Ford Escape SUV with NY registration FBB 7793. Lozano-Vulgarin is
described as a Hispanic male, 5’10” thin build with dark hair and dark
eyes. Anyone who sees the vehicle or suspect is asked to call police

further info will be released at this time as it is still an active
investigation.
Police
declined to comment on the relationship between the victim and suspect.
