Incident Type: Strong-Arm Robbery Date and Time of Incident: Dec 15, 2012 at 9:56am Accused Name / City / Age: Paul Heriegel III, age 24 of New Gretna Incident Location: Smithville CVS (1 S. New York Rd.) Misc. / Other Related Information: On Dec 15, 2012 at 9:56am Galloway Township Police responded to a reported Strong Arm Robbery at the CVS in Smithville (1 South New York Rd). A 68 year old female from Galloway was entering the store when a male stole her purse from her and fled on foot. Witnesses observed the incident and pursued the suspect, apprehending him near Quail Hill Blvd and South New York Rd. The witnesses restrained the male until police arrived. The victim's property was recovered. The witnesses were a 40 year old male from Atco, a 55 year old male from Egg Harbor City and a NJ Transit bus driver were credited with apprehending the suspect. The female was not injured. The suspect was identified as Paul Heriegel III, age 24 of New Gretna. Heriegel III was charged with Robbery and Theft. His bail was set by JMC Howard Freed at $75,000 full cash. Heriegel III was transported to the Atlantic County Justice Facility on those charges as well as several other Municipal warrants.
